1. File Setup

If your files are raster, they must be a minimum of 300 d.p.i. (at actual size). i.e., JPG or TIFF. These files need to be saved in CMYK mode only - all RGB images will be converted, which can cause extreme shifts in color. Also, rasterized files must be sized appropriately for bleed. See “File Set-up”

If we need to manipulate or alter your file(s) in any way please send your artwork in the following formats: *

    - Platform Independent: PDF, EPS, or PS - PC: Illustrator, Freehand, Corel Draw, and Photoshop

All placed graphics and raster elements in the above files must be embedded (included). 300 dpi minimum applies or a waiver signature may be necessary.

  2. Die (cut) Lines

Since the labels we produce are die-cut, it is important to take this in to consideration when creating your label artwork. Most of our label dies have radius corners. Keep this in mind whenever you are creating anything around or near the corners of the die (cut) line.

For example, if your label design has a border and the corners of that border are square, you might want to make the corners of your border have a radius to work with our radius corner dies.

We can provide PDFs containing specific die lines for your order. Please request these when you are placing your order. These die line files can easily be used within the label design process to avoid problems like the one described above and others with proportions / scale / sizing, and issues related to bleed.

  3. Bleed

Prepare your files for a 1/16” full bleed to avoid pre-press charges. Also, leave at least 1/16" of clear space (i.e., no significant design elements or text) inside the die-line strike area.

  4. Typography *

If sending any of the file formats listed above change all type to curves / outlines. For legibility, regular type should be no smaller than 4 point, and reverse type no smaller than 6 point bold.

  5. Clear Label Material

Labels printed on clear material often require the use of WHITE ink. Artwork files must properly account for this before they can be printed. Pre-press charges may apply for multiple pre-flight sessions, or if we are authorized to change your files.

  6. Charges

Artwork not conforming to above stated requirements will be subject to a fee.
